Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think these past few years have been extremely challenging for a lot of us and the world (capitalism) wants to divide us into this group or the other, wants us to outdo others, only think about just ourselves, not care for anyone else. It wants us to fight wars and share hatred.

I think connecting with others around us, whether they are our next door neighbours or live on the other side of the globe will teach us to come together, exchange ideas and knowledge and empowers us to fight for our freedom together. Thats what I aspire with using CS :)

I want to travel a bit more in the coming years and would love to meet inspiring folks and learn from each other. Also party and have fun together and spread more love!

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of different things, I think stories are meant to transcend genres. But good sci-fi, fantasy and coming-of-age stuff catches me (sense8, tchaikovsi, ...). Always up for biographic novels, analyses and psycho-educational stuff on trauma, attachment, etc. Throw in some queer topics and I am sold. Sometimes also cheesy stuff, especially when I wanna cry and watch sad or happy queer movies :)

For music I do and listen to a lot of classical music and am experimenting with edm things. At the moment seperately, but at one point these two things want to be combined. Into Saint-Saëns, Deep House, Melodic Techno Raves and Schubert.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The time away always was insightful and awesome. Living in CDMX and Valencia for a couple of months, immersing myself into a different place and call it home was awesome.

I am currently learning to be more mindful, to do stuff with myself, to be more present in the relationship that I have with myself and then more present in the relationships that I have with others around me.
Therefore I had to learn to be also okay on my own and actually enjoy the time I am spending just with myself - I even need that now. Last year was really cool for that because I went on two trips to Spain and also on my first dancing party on my own. 10/10

I really feel like I need this time to just be, to decompress, to chill, to calm down and then enjoy the presence of others more. Like when I went to this huge edm festival with some good friends and went off almost every night to enjoy my own music, dance in the first row, connect with other people there. And then meet up with my friends at 4am at a bar and have fun together :)
