About Me

Hey there! I'm Borja (pronounced Bor-Ha), a positive and curious soul from Spain (living in Dublin for now, but always down for an adventure!)

Since I was a child, I've loved learning new things and setting big goals. While reading business and law at university, I started mentoring students to gain confidence in their job searches. Getting to help others in this way brought me so much purpose.

A few years back, I took a sales role at LinkedIn thinking the experience would be invaluable. While it definitely was, it wasn't my long-term passion, and I quit after 2 years. I realized my true calling was empowering others through coaching to unlock their full potential and build purposeful careers.

Now I get to do that every day as a career advisor. Nothing makes me happier! I'm also working to grow my own coaching and training business. An upcoming workshop in Austin is getting me closer to that dream (becoming a Heroic workshop instructor).

So, I'm heading to Texas (10-21 May) to supercharge my dream career with this incredible event where I'll meet 100 coaches that are on the same path to become their best selves and empower others to do the same.

While there, I'd love to connect with interesting locals and travelers like you! Maybe you're also working on a personal project, or just enjoy exploring new ideas – either way, let's chat and swap stories over coffee (or tacos, Austin knows what's up!).

A little more about me - I'm an ambivert who loves meeting new people but also values solo recharge time. In my free hours, I enjoy listening to entrepreneur and self-development podcasts, discovering hidden gems in cities, and satisfying my sweet tooth (no judgement!). I enjoy learning about people and places through casual, deep conversations.

So yeah, that's me in a nutshell! If you're also chasing big dreams or want support, let's connect! I'm always looking to cheer on others. Whether you need career advice or a new friend, don't be a stranger.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently listening to Mark Ambor - I love finding songs that give me good vibe, like road trip anthems you can't help but sing along to. TikTok has been great for discovering new artists.

I enjoy rom-coms and just comedies in general. Lately I've been getting into Korean dramas too ('Queenmaker' on Netflix).

When it comes to books (I have to admit I'm more of a podcast guy), I like learning about topics like self-development that I can directly apply in my work as a career coach but also in my personal growth journey. Right now, I'm diving into "Areté: Activate Your Heroic Potential" by Brian Johnson, who is the founder of Heroic, the biggest self-development platform in the world, and also the organizer of the conference I'm attending in Austin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In addition to launching my own career coaching business while study (and now working) full-time, one recent highlight was a dear friend sending me the following message: "I wanted to tell you that you inspired me yesterday. I'd like to have a stress-free life too, doing good work."

Hearing from a friend or someone I've had the luck of coaching that I've inspired them or helped them get closer to their goals, that's is extremely rewarding!

Teach, Learn, Share

Give me 5 minutes, and I'll show you how to unlock the power of LinkedIn for your career! With my experience helping hundreds of people leverage LinkedIn since 2019, including 2 years working at the company itself, I can help you create a profile that gets noticed.

I love sharing knowledge around my areas of expertise, like turning LinkedIn into a fun tool for career advancement and connecting with amazing people. I'm also a big believer in lifelong learning and enjoy exchanging ideas with interesting folks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All the options previously listed, plus: help you gain fluency in Spanish (maybe an overstatement but I'm a patient teacher)! I can also do career or life coaching sessions, asking challenging questions to help you progress.
