About Me

My name is M, a non-binary New York-based professional fashion photographer. You can view my work at www.m-apisak.com.
I was born in Thailand, but 12 years ago, I traveled across the globe on my own with two suitcases to make it in New York. Now I am a Green Card holder as a permanent resident. I guess I can say that I am a proud self-made first-generation New Yorker! I am also a part-time social worker for a non-profit LGBTQ+ health community center in NYC, helping API(Asian and Pacific Islander) and people of color have an access to healthcare.

I work really hard, but play harder! Even though I work in the big apple, I love to travel and to be in the nature as much as I can!

During my travel, I hope to take nice portraits of people I encounter, make new friends, being curious, take pictures of my host in exchange, and possibly cook Thai food or teach cooking Thai food to nice hosts.

P.S.) I'm fully covid vaccinated (4xshots of Moderna) and Monkey pox vaccinated as well :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing, I think, is a great opportunity to explore the city and the community through the local eye, also it is fun to meet new friends and explore the world!

I have been traveling and couchsurfing in the last 3 years, both hosting and being a guest, and I have been meeting great people along the way!

This Aug-Sept 2022 will be my first time in Italy! I hope to meet new friends, take nice portraits of people I will encounter during the trip, take pictures of my host in exchange, and possibly cook Thai food or teach cooking Thai food.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: I am having a great experience with CS so far.
I am amazed by how kind people can be.

This time, it will be my 4th trip CSing and I am looking forwards to it. My plan is still pretty up in the air, Iet's see how CS leads me to this time and let's make a great time together!

I love biking, In Summer 2016, I took a week to bike across Denmark from Ribe, all the way from the West, to Copenhagen. Two years ago, I also hiked with a couchsurfer and camp in the Lofoten Islands in Norway!
