Overview
About Me
Early 2022 I decided I do not want to be part of 'the system' any more. Now I volunteer my time with environmental groups and work on social initiatives. I have travelled a bit, but I am not an extensive world traveller - yet. I will try to travel the best way for the environment.
I enjoy all that life has to offer - family, friends, music, food (I am vegan, but do not preach), new places, new experiences, meeting new people.
LGBTQ+ ally. I am straight, but I don’t care about your sex life, it’s none of my business. What you do in the bedroom doesn’t define you, it’s your actions towards others in this world that do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel more, see the places for real - not the inside of a hotel. Couchsurfing will also give me the opportunity to meet more interesting people, and expand my mind, on my travels.
When not travelling I want to learn more about the world, through my guests.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most music and enjoy discovering new songs and bands - if I had to choose it would be indie/rock.
Movies are best when they are not from Hollywood - the cinematography of less mainstream films can be so beautiful.
Books of all kinds are on my bookshelves - factual, fiction (no specific genre) - I enjoy expanding my mind.
It is hard to narrow down my tastes, as I have not explored everything yet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked in the Himalays, in Bhutan.
Solo parachute jump (not in the Himalayas).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to help anyone improve their English, but I suspect that, for many their English language skills may be better than some English people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A love of life, a smile, maybe some of my cooking and maybe you can stay in my house some time.
