Hi there! My name is Sarah. I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee in the Southeastern US, where my father was a calculus professor at the University of Tennessee and my mother was a microbiologist. I have one younger brother named Oliver, who is two years younger than me. I moved to New York City when I was 18 to attend NYU. I majored in Economics and Psychology and I minored in Computer Science. I loved NYC so much that after graduating from university in 2014, I decided to stay and get a job here. I worked in finance on Wall Street for two years, and then I made the switch to data science at an advertising company (Horizon Media). In my current role, I gather and analyze data to help clients uncover insights about consumer attitudes, preferences, and behaviors. I'm not sure what I want to do long term career wise because I have sooo many interests-- I've gone through phases of wanting to be a surgeon, lawyer, tech entrepreneur, writer, model, psychiatrist/psychologist, etc. At the moment I'm leaning towards going to grad school for Economics but I have absolutely no idea if that will be true in a year!

Hmm what else... sometimes I'm an INTJ and sometimes I'm an ENTJ, my favorite color is pink, I'm a former competitive figure skater, I'm into fitness and healthy eating... if there's anything else you wanna know, just ask :)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to up my travel game! I haven't been to nearly as many places as I would like and some of that is because of money but some of it is because I've always been waiting for the right time or for the right people to go with. I've heard Couchsurfing is a great way to see the world and will allow me to meet amazing new people on the way. I'd love to go to every country in the world, or at least as many as possible.
