Hey there!
My name is Margrit, and I just graduated from high school. It has always been my dream to study medicine but I have decided to take a gap year before going to university, because I really love travelling and I want to take some time to see the world and gather experiences :)
I live in a house in Trier, with my family, and together, we have been hosting and visiting people through couchsurfing for a long time. I have two younger brothers and a dog (that I adore).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been couchsurfing with my family for a long time, which is why I believe that the values of hospitality and open-mindedness have always been very close to me. I believe couchsurfing adds a lot to the experience of travelling, and I absolutely love meeting so many people all over the world!

Interests

I love so many things! There's nature and biology/ medicine - I am active for the environment, love hiking, being outside, the ocean, and my all-time favourite animals are whales!
I am a very active person, I love to run, swim, occasionally climb, and I row.
Soo many little things make me happy: beautiful skies, good food, jamming to Taylor Swift, dogs in general, ... the list goes on :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My greatest adventure so far was flying to Mexico on my own when I was 17. I stayed there with a host family for a month, and I absolutely fell in love with the country and culture. I hope to return one day!! 🇲🇽

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very positive and outgoing person, and travelling from a young age has made the unknown part of my comfort zone. I am spontaneous, uncomplicated, responsible and flexible, willing to help you wherever I can and would always love to cook for you and share a meal to give you a little bit in return ;)
